Underfloor heating project case studies. Installed by the UFH Supply network, across the United Kingdom.

The Talking Point Conference Centre opted for a full underfloor heating system, to provide comfort for the client’s during conferences and meetings. The UFH system was supplied a high flow temperature from a gas boiler, as heating the property with a low flow temperature would not have been possible due to the projects high heat loss rate. Efficient underfloor heating is possible with high heat losses.
Boxend ski park was designed to use underfloor heating as a sustainable method of heating the property efficiently. Low carbon emissions and providing a unique heating and cooling environment for their customers, was of the utmost concern. The client wanted a system that would require little maintenance, whist providing reliability. A low temperature underfloor heating system was the way forward.

This underfloor heating project was an existing building set in a stunning isolated location. The client decided to strip the interior bare, reducing the residence to a shell. The project was taken back to four walls and a roof, giving the interior designers room to let their imaginations run wild. A fresh start with a modern look was called for, and an energy efficient, underfloor heating solution to match it.
The underfloor heating design parameters for the George Farmer Technical Collage project were to provide a load-bearing concrete base for the new electrical and plumbing training department of the school, and incorporate our underfloor heating system designed at operate at low temperature. The underfloor heating system was designed to optimise the energy saving potential of a Hoval air source heat pump.
The architect had very specific requirements relating to heat output from the underfloor heating system. The customer wanted the underfloor heating system to provide a design room temperature of 23°c. His concern was driven by the use of an air source heat pump delivering low water temperatures 30°-35°c to provide his client with a safe, super sustainable and comfortable living environment for the elderly residents.
